Position Summary: The Vice President of Operational Excellence will spearhead initiatives in procurement, inventory management, safety protocols, operational design, and optimization, alongside continuous improvement strategies for VGM's Fulfillment division. Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive operational excellence strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives.
  • Drive year-over-year enhancements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost through superior operational design.
  • Collaborate with department heads and operations leaders to assess and integrate innovative technologies that enhance project delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with executive leadership to establish and achieve company goals while providing expertise on operational excellence initiatives.
  • Identify, propose, and execute new processes, technologies, and systems to streamline organizational workflows and resource utilization in partnership with procurement and finance.
  • Analyze data to formulate divisional strategies for implementation.
  • Establish and communicate operations-related policies, practices, standards, and safety measures to ensure effective execution.
  • Provide updates on operational excellence to senior leadership and the board of directors.
  • Oversee the achievement of key operational KPIs in collaboration with leadership.
  • Monitor industry trends and participate in events to keep VGM Fulfillment ahead of the competition.
  • Identify, mentor, and develop team members and leaders within the organization.
  • Build and maintain relationships with operations executives across logistics, HME, and other relevant industries.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry principles, procedures, and best practices, including Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, engineering, or a related field, or a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience, including three years in upper management.

Physical Requirements: The role may require prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer, with the ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
