Overview:
The Route Sales Support Driver is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong, positive relationships with clients while striving to exceed their expectations. As representatives of the organization, Route Sales Support Drivers work diligently to foster goodwill and loyalty while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company vehicle within a designated area to deliver products and services to a diverse clientele.
- Conduct daily preventative maintenance checks on the vehicle and ensure all operator documentation is accurate.
- Independently manage daily routes to guarantee timely and precise product delivery.
- Load and unload products in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
- Review invoices daily for accuracy and completeness, making necessary corrections.
- Achieve sales objectives and promote overall route growth to enhance profitability.
- Develop leads and engage prospective customers to solicit business, prepare service agreements, and onboard new accounts.
- Assist the sales team in acquiring additional new business opportunities.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of services, policies, and pricing structures, effectively communicating these to clients.
- Monitor customer feedback and address issues promptly and courteously.
- Prioritize personal safety and the safety of others, adhering to all safety protocols and practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned that align with the responsibilities outlined above.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Experience in customer service with consistent client interaction.
- Strong mathematical skills and basic computer proficiency.
- Preferred experience in selling services/products and generating new business.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate sound judgment, and quickly resolve customer concerns.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, is expected. The role may require irregular hours in a fast-paced environment.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 lbs routinely and occasionally lift over 50 lbs. The position involves bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
