We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Operations Specialist to join our team at nVent. As a key member of our Enclosures Segment, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer support for our rapidly growing Data Center business.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Support: Ensure all customer requests are responded to in a timely and professional manner.
- Order Management: Compile and lead weekly open order report calls with customers to review order status.
- Logistics Coordination: Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
- Product Quality: Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations by working closely with the Logistics team.
- Order Processing: Review and release new EDI or hardcopy PO orders daily.
- Account Management: Support Account and Program Managers reconciling with product changes that affect cost or price.
- Order Tracking: Track and report on the status of all orders for assigned strategic accounts.
- Customer Interface: Join customer meetings or conference calls to provide customer service and technical guidance.
- Communication: Communicate customer expectations to the operations team.
- Document Management: Receive and process customer drawings, specifications, and technical instructions.
- Project Development: Work with engineering, operations, and sales to develop a solution that fulfills the customer requirements.
- Education: A bachelor's degree is helpful.
- Experience: Ideally 2+ years of relatable experience supporting manufacturing operations.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service background.
- Project Coordination: Experience in the coordination of projects/processes on the manufacturing floor.
- Cross-Functional Interface: Experience in cross-functional interface and coordination is strongly preferred.
- Business Acumen: General knowledge of material flow, planning, scheduling, supply management/purchasing, inventory, costing, and shipping/receiving.
- Problem-Solving: Proven skills in identifying root causes of problems/issues by asking probing questions and the ability to develop recommendations for resolution.
- Multi-Tasking: Validated skills in running multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment in a self-directed manner.
