About the Role

The Construction Project Manager will play a vital role in overseeing the construction process of our multifamily residential projects. This includes managing budgets, timelines, and quality control to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, including estimating and cost control
  • Develop and implement project schedules, including coordinating with developers, engineers, and architects
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors and suppliers
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses from local authorities
  • Manage and coordinate construction operations, including hiring contractors and allocating responsibilities
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality control
  • Prepare and submit project reports to stakeholders, including progress updates and financial reports
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and regulations
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of project documentation, including contracts, permits, and inspections

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in project management and/or construction management, with a focus on multifamily residential new building construction
  • Knowledge of current building codes and regulations
  • Experience with site construction, precast, wood framing, and interior finishes
  • Demonstrated understanding of multifamily construction means and methods
  • Experience with alternative building methods and value engineering
  • Ability to work independently and lead a small team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional travel
