Job Summary

Citizens Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide direct care to surgical patients. The ideal candidate will possess substantial knowledge, judgment, and skill based on the principles of the biological, psychological, behavioral, and social sciences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in safety management and infection control programs.
  • Perform, supervise, and/or direct nursing care of patients based on hospital policies and procedures.
  • Direct and/or assist with cleaning, sterilization, and storage of instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Administer medications, start intravenous infusions, and assist anesthesia personnel as needed.
  • Assist with the orientation of new personnel.
  • Take call as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Currently registered with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Basic Life Support Certification - BLS.
