Voter Assistance Hotline Coordinator

Position Title: Election Protection Hotline Specialist
Location: Washington, DC
Employment Type: Term Limited
Role Summary:
Are you committed to safeguarding democratic processes? As an Election Protection Hotline Specialist, you will collaborate with legal volunteers to address voter inquiries received through the hotline. This role demands effective management of daily operations in a dynamic environment, requiring adaptability in work hours and a readiness to embrace new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitating the Election Protection contact center to assist voters utilizing the hotline.
- Coordinating schedules and workflows for legal volunteers while gathering critical data.
- Providing technical support and communication to volunteers.
- Ensuring adequate staffing levels and resources for volunteer support.
- Updating materials related to voting rights and conducting training sessions for volunteers.
- Monitoring interactions within the Election Protection database and generating reports.
- Encouraging volunteers to take on leadership roles and aiding in post-election evaluations.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in volunteer management and technology platforms.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience working with minority communities, campaigns, or voter protection initiatives.
- Prior experience with Election Protection hotlines is advantageous.
