Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, supporting, customizing, and maintaining a suite of commercial and open-source applications used by Software and Systems Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, deploy, and administer commercial and open-source SW Factory software
  • Develop code to aid in administration of the SW Factory
  • Provide end-user support to SW Factory suite of applications
  • Monitor, address, and resolve production SW Factory application incidents and reports
  • Interfacing and collaborating with other development and administration teams
  • Maintain strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and products
  • Provide best practices, recommendations, and guidance to manage SW factory operations at scale
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related STEM discipline with at least 2 years of experience or a Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related STEM discipline with 0 years of experience
  • Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Ability to work well in a virtual team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and juggle multiple tasks
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of core IT competencies
  • Experience programming in scripting languages
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong technical foundation in several of the following technologies: Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub, Gitlab, SonarQube, Nexus Repository Lifecycle, and Firewall
  • Administration experience with Postgres
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • AWS console administration experience
What We Offer

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $75,300 - $130,800 and a salary range 2 of $92,600 - $160,900. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. We also provide a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
