Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, deploy, and administer commercial and open-source software factory software.
  • Work as part of an Agile development team to deliver end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management framework.
  • Develop code to aid in the administration of the software factory.
  • Provide end-user support to the software factory suite of applications.
  • Monitor, address, and resolve production software factory application incidents and reports.
  • Interface and collaborate with other development and administration teams within Corporate.
  • Maintain strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and products.
  • Provide best practices, recommendations, and guidance to manage software factory operations at scale.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or 0 years of experience with a Master's degree in a STEM field; or 6 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Administration experience with Linux or related operating systems.
  • Ability to work well in a virtual team environment with team members located throughout the country.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in an Agile software development framework.
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including server/client software installation experience.
  • Understanding of core IT competencies, including networking, servers, databases, applications, and certifications.
  • Experience programming in scripting languages, such as Python and Java.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manage containers using a container orchestrator, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience automating tasks using Ansible and/or Terraform.
  • Working practices, such as Git branching and release schedules.
  • Administration experience with Postgres.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Experience administering virtualized or containerized systems in VMWare and Docker.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and administering cloud-based solutions, such as Amazon Web Service (AWS).
What We Offer

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $75,300 - $124,900, with a salary range of $92,600 - $153,600 for certain positions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. We also offer a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
