Associate Professor of Management

The Department of Management at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin is seeking tenure-track faculty members in strategic management to join our department in the fall of 2024. We welcome applications across all faculty ranks (Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor) in the areas of strategic management, innovation/entrepreneurship, or organization theory.
We are an inclusive department that invites a wide range of research topics and methodologies within the aforementioned areas. Our department is housed within the McCombs School of Business, a top-ranked school in the UT-Dallas Business School Research Rankings. We provide excellent research support through our strong PhD program, other graduate and undergraduate assistants, and extensive research funding.
The department is home to four thriving centers: the Center for Leadership and Ethics, the Harkey Institute for Undergraduate Entrepreneurial Studies, the Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship, and the Jon Brumley Texas Venture Labs. In addition, we run the school's one-year Master of Science in Technology Commercialization (MSTC) Program.
Our location in Austin is particularly attractive to faculty interested in connecting with a thriving business community comprising established firms and start-ups for research opportunities. The Dell Medical School at UT-Austin also presents opportunities for research settings and collaborations, and our strong relations with the public sector have been an ongoing source of numerous research opportunities for our faculty over the years.
We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate an ability to do high-quality research that will have a major impact on the field of management. Candidates must also be able to teach successfully at the undergraduate, MBA, and/or executive level.
