Job Title: Director of Mental Health Services

First Resources Corp is seeking a highly skilled Director of Mental Health Services to lead our mental health programs in South East Iowa.


Job Summary:

  • Responsible for the coordination, development, and growth of mental health services.
  • Oversee programming at the Residential Care Facility (RCF), Drop-In Centers (CHOICES), Integrated Health Home (IHH), and Intensive Residential Services (IRSH).
  • Analyze mental health services to identify performance needs, implement improvement plans, and review performance targets within each program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Master's degree preferred, Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required, plus four (4) years of experience working in a mental health system.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and computer-based programs.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without restrictions.
  • Successfully complete the new hire orientation checklist.
  • Basic knowledge of the Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing (DIAL), HCBS/LTSS programming, IHH SPA requirements, and Iowa Administrative Code rules relating to the positions programming.
  • Successfully complete the Department of Human Services medication administration training and pass the competency exam within 90 days of hire, but prior to handling medications of individuals served.
  • Successfully complete and pass all required competency-based training requirements within the allowed timeframe and on-going training as due each time.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification within the initial 30 days of employment, and actively maintain certification throughout employment.
  • Valid driver's license and personal auto insurance as required by the State of Iowa and be insurable under the company's insurance.
  • Reliable personal transportation.
  • Access to a telephone.
