Job Title: School Licensed Nurse (LPN/LVN)

The School Licensed Nurse (LPN/LVN) is a vital member of the Aveanna team, responsible for providing direct school nursing services to promote prevention, medical management, and academics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain standards of nursing while providing care under the supervision of a registered nurse
  • Perform treatments and/or procedures with skill and competence
  • Administer medication as per MD order and/or parental consent
  • Attend Health Plan meetings and school conferences when applicable
  • Participate in continuing education programs as per licensure requirements
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pediatrics
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Work Environment:
  • Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments
