School Nurse Position

Uncommon Schools is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Nurse to join our team. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students and staff.
Responsibilities:- Provide daily health care to students, including administering medications and maintaining health records.
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families to ensure seamless care and support.
- Develop and implement health education programs to promote healthy habits and prevent illness.
- Collaborate with school administrators and staff to ensure a healthy and safe learning environment.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for students and staff.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in school nursing.
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
- BSN or Masters in Nursing.
- Two full years of employment as a Registered Nurse in a child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing setting.
- Completion of an orientation program based on the requirements for delivery of school health services as defined by the Department of Public Health.
- Certification in CPR, including AED training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
