Computed Tomography Technologist

About the Role:
Inova Health System is seeking a dedicated and skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join their team at the Fairfax Medical Campus. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IVs, heparin locks, and central line usage as they relate to computed tomography. They will also be responsible for completing ancillary tasks to ensure efficient departmental operations. In addition, they will be required to correctly identify patients and their files, track patients according to department procedures, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
The Computed Tomography Technologist will be responsible for demonstrating a thorough understanding of radiation protection and safety protocols, maintaining an orderly and safe environment, and ensuring that rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies. They will also be required to participate in departmental meetings and in-services, and may be assigned additional duties as needed. They must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist and obtain CT Certification within one year of hire.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited school or program of radiography. They must have prior experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist and/or Computed Tomography Technologist in a hospital or healthcare environment. They must also be certified by the ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist and have a current BLS certification. The candidate must be able to relocate to the Falls Church, VA area and be available to work a 10-hour evening shift, Monday to Friday.
