About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Beverage Service Associate to join our team at Hollywood Casino at Columbus. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable experience at our casino.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, friendly, and professional service to casino guests, beverage servers, and bartenders.
  • Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines.
  • Serve as an ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions.
  • Promote casino events and programs.
  • Provide personalized service and use guest name.
  • Resolve service problems according to guidelines.
  • Work well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, other barbacks, beverage supervisors, and casino supervisors.
  • Maintain par levels of operating supplies and equipment for each bar, obtaining replacement stock from warehouse inventory in accordance with procedure.
  • Place liquors, fruits, glassware, linen, silverware, paper supplies, and sundries in their designated places following established storage guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Replace empty draught beer kegs as may be required.
  • Slice and pit fruit, and fill ice bins with crushed or cubed ice from designated ice machines.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Remove and properly dispose of all debris accumulated at the bar in accordance with department procedures.
  • Wipe counter areas, sinks, and floors as required to maintain a clean and safe work station.
  • Maintain cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Read, write legibly, understand, and speak English.
  • Excellent customer service/communication skills.
  • Available to work required schedule, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
  • Able to work in constricting areas.
  • Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights.
  • Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment.
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas, such as confined spaces.
