Veterinary Student Externship Opportunity

We are delighted to offer veterinary students the opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience at our state-of-the-art facilities in Buzzards Bay and Dennis, Cape Cod.
Eligibility Requirements- Must be a current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Priority scheduling is given to students in their clinical years on official externship blocks for school credit
- Must provide proof of professional liability insurance
During your externship, you will actively participate in cases and further your development towards becoming a veterinarian. You will be supervised by an experienced veterinarian and skilled support staff, who will serve as your mentors for your externship experience.
We encourage active participation from externs, introduce them to our clients, and truly make them part of our team. You will have the opportunity to select one case per week to further research and engage the veterinarians in further case discussion with this additional information.
Our team is committed to continuous learning and development, and we are delighted to have an ECC specialty internship program, small animal rotating internship, and ECC residency programs within our hospital.
We offer a wide variety of specialties, including Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Exotics, and Diagnostic Imaging. Let us know if you'd like to spend time with multiple specialties, or have a particular area you'd like to focus on.
