Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated professional to engage in comprehensive auditing activities within municipal departments and associated entities. This role emphasizes thorough evaluations of financial, operational, compliance, and performance aspects of various functions.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed audits and assessments of municipal operations, ensuring adherence to established policies and regulations. This includes:

  • Evaluating financial records and operational procedures.
  • Performing compliance audits to ensure alignment with laws and ordinances.
  • Assessing performance metrics to enhance operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:
EITHER:
A Master's Degree from an accredited institution along with three (3) years of relevant professional experience in auditing or investigations related to performance, compliance, or financial assessments.
OR:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with five (5) years of pertinent professional experience in similar auditing roles.

Note:
Professional experience is defined as experience obtained in a position requiring a Bachelor's degree upon entry. All applicants must provide verification of their educational qualifications prior to employment.

Assessment Process:
Applicants will undergo a written examination designed to evaluate key competencies including management principles, decision-making, interpersonal skills, written communication, and mathematical abilities.

Additional Information:
This position requires a probationary period of one year. Candidates may be subject to a substance abuse screening and a medical examination as part of the hiring process.

Character Requirements:
Good moral character is essential for all applicants. Disqualifications may occur based on past employment records or character evaluations.

Veterans Preference:
Veterans may receive additional credit during the examination process if claimed appropriately.
