Job Title: Senior Aircraft Paint Shop Worker

Join Piper Aircraft as a Senior Aircraft Paint Shop Worker and contribute to the production of high-quality aircraft parts and subassemblies. As a key member of our team, you will assist the Supervisor in meeting or exceeding planned production and delivery schedules while maximizing company resources to achieve company goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform or assist the Supervisor in tasks such as sanding, preparing, and painting complex designs, and metallic or pearl-based paints over large areas.
  • Assist engineering and marketing disciplines in developing the implementation of new processes and materials.
  • Work cross-functionally with other business disciplines to identify failure root causes and prevention methods.
  • Collaborate with other manufacturing areas to ensure production readiness for design changes.
  • Represent the manufacturing team during FAA inspection and auditing of manufacturing processes.
  • Lead and mentor teammates within the career path to perform necessary job functions and requirements.
  • Adhere to and maintain departmental compliance requirements such as Safety, Environmental Protection, FOD, and Tool Control.
  • Perform audits of areas within the department to maintain compliance with FAA and Piper operational requirements.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of high school diploma.
  • Related Aircraft Paint Worker Experience Requirements:
    • Aircraft Paint Shop Worker I: ≥ 1-2 years of experience
    • Aircraft Paint Shop Worker II: ≥ 2-5 years of experience
    • Senior Aircraft Paint Shop Worker: ≥ 5 years of experience
  • Ability to work scheduled shift and hours, including overtime
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and PPE, including proper fit and use of respirators as required
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and effective communication skills (written and verbal)
Working Conditions:

Works primarily inside and may occasionally work outdoors. May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity.
