Position Overview:

Chewy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Fulfillment Center team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with our Fulfillment Operations partners to optimize the use of current technologies and implement new fulfillment center solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced support to Operations across all Fulfillment Centers, excluding Pharmacy locations.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Operations and Chewy's WMS Technical Product Managers and Software Engineers.
  • Prioritize incidents and share effective solutions tailored to WMS and vendor integrations.
  • Engage with third-party vendor representatives and internal technical support teams to facilitate seamless software integration.
  • Collaborate with FExT product teams to ensure user acceptance testing (UAT) is completed before deployment.
  • Share knowledge and best practices among colleagues, serving as an ambassador for the FExT Support team.
  • Deliver solutions for high-priority incidents while managing additional business-defined tasks.
  • Establish and maintain relationships across matrix and multi-functional environments, influencing stakeholders without direct authority.

Essential Duties:

  • Guide team members on the Chewy Warehouse Management System (CWMS) and its integration with third-party vendor systems.
  • Conduct UAT for new software implementations and address bugs in existing systems.
  • Create comprehensive training documentation for internal stakeholders on new applications and processes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to both Fulfillment and Technology partners regarding system functionality and operational standards.
  • Provide on-call support for critical issues, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with third-party vendors to achieve operational goals that enhance Chewy's metrics and system stability.
  • Identify project opportunities and collaborate with operations teams to assess needs and ROI through organizational change requests.
  • Facilitate smooth communication and data exchange between operations and internal partners.
  • Assist in maintaining metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to inform key business decisions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for technology rollouts and operational improvements.
  • Additional responsibilities aligned with the project manager role within the Fulfillment Execution Support Team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred degree in a related field.
  • Proven experience and knowledge in warehouse operations and management systems.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, including proficiency in math, statistics, and both verbal and written communication.
  • Comprehensive skills in computer applications, including Office, SQL or DBViz, as well as experience with Smartsheet, Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), and SharePoint.
  • Experience managing multi-functional teams and collaborating with warehouse operations leadership and IT teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize structured tasks and manage organizational change processes.
  • History of identifying and recommending operational improvements to meet evolving business needs.
  • Experience working with vendors to provide effective solutions through ownership.
