Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Department Associate to join our team. As a key member of our meat department, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our meat products are wrapped, weighed, and priced properly. You'll also operate our wrapping machine, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain the cleanliness of our department and equipment. Key Responsibilities- Provide friendly, courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
- Ensure meat products are wrapped, weighed, and priced correctly.
- Operate our wrapping machine and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized department, including equipment and cutting room.
- Stock and rotate product to ensure maximum visibility and appeal.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or needed.
- Ability to consistently provide friendly, courteous service to internal and external customers.
- Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally.
- Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and move rapidly, bend, twist, and turn frequently.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (32 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, such as hats, hairnets, and gloves, as required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Food Handlers Certification (per state laws).
- Scales, wrapping machines, slicers, cubers, pallet jacks, bailer, and hand trucks.
