Job Summary

The Vehicle Sales Representative is a critical role within Ryder System, responsible for driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a frontline sales agent, you will work closely with various functional groups to meet sales projections, maximize proceeds, and provide top-notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the company's marketing plan, including product selection for periodicals, trade associations, and industry-specific marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate outbound marketing efforts, such as phone calls, marketing mailers, and thank-you cards.
  • Act as a liaison between Asset Management, Rental, and Lease product lines.
  • Manage the overall accuracy and content of the Lead Tracker database.
  • Develop and expand relationships with existing customers using various communication channels and resources.
  • Install sold signs and mark vehicles as directed.
  • Manage vehicle inventory movement within the Ryder System's area of operations.
  • Perform weekly yard checks with required documentation from off-site locations.
  • Occasionally drive trucks within the Ryder System's boundaries to properly align inventory.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One to three years of sales and/or customer service experience required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High energy, self-motivated, and self-directed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
