R&D Thermal Engineer

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the creation of state-of-the-art two-phase cooling technologies tailored for the data center cooling industry. We are looking for a highly creative, hands-on individual with excellent communication abilities. While we envision this position to be suitable for entry-level candidates who have recently earned an M.S. or Ph.D. in thermo-fluid sciences, we welcome applicants from all experience levels. A strong background in the design and testing of hardware related to two-phase heat transfer mechanisms, such as boiling, condensation, thermosyphons, pumped two-phase cooling, and heat pipes, is highly desirable. This role will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, construct, and evaluate two-phase cooling systems for data centers
  • Prepare proposals, author research papers, and present findings at industry conferences
  • Develop innovative concepts for two-phase cooling and file patent applications

Qualifications:

  • 0 to 3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Comprehensive background in thermo-fluids, encompassing both modeling and experimental work
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field focused on heat transfer
  • Postdoctoral experience is advantageous but not required
