We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Children's Dental Surgery. As a Pediatric Nurse Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our ambulatory surgical center.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and accurately document nursing care for pre-operative patients.
- Coordinate all aspects of nursing care with the pre-operative team to achieve defined patient outcomes.
- Work closely with surgeons and anesthesia care providers to guide patients safely through the postoperative period.
- Provide nursing care to patients in post-op, continuously monitoring and assessing patients during their stay.
- Assist patients recovering from anesthesia.
- Assess patients' health status and previous medical history.
- Provide appropriate education to patients' families regarding their individualized plan of care for at-home recovery.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- At least one year of experience as an RN preferred.
- Previous experience working in a pediatric or ambulatory surgery setting a plus.
- Ability to obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of start date.
- Current Pennsylvania RN License.
