Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Children's Dental Surgery. As a Pediatric Nurse Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our ambulatory surgical center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and accurately document nursing care for pre-operative patients.
  • Coordinate all aspects of nursing care with the pre-operative team to achieve defined patient outcomes.
  • Work closely with surgeons and anesthesia care providers to guide patients safely through the postoperative period.
  • Provide nursing care to patients in post-op, continuously monitoring and assessing patients during their stay.
  • Assist patients recovering from anesthesia.
  • Assess patients' health status and previous medical history.
  • Provide appropriate education to patients' families regarding their individualized plan of care for at-home recovery.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • At least one year of experience as an RN preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a pediatric or ambulatory surgery setting a plus.
  • Ability to obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of start date.
  • Current Pennsylvania RN License.
