Comprehensive Cancer Care Pharmacist

About the Role:This full-time position involves providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to oncology patients, with a focus on ensuring safe and effective drug therapy. Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating chemotherapy and infusion treatment plans to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Verifying medication orders to prevent adverse reactions and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to guarantee accurate and timely preparation of hazardous and non-hazardous sterile products.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
- Participating in the development of pharmacist-driven protocols to improve patient care and streamline processes.
- Serving as a trusted resource for drug information and product verification.
- Contributing to the research department's efforts to evaluate and implement new investigational drug trials.
- Analyzing drug shortages and inventory needs to optimize supply chain management.
- Developing, reviewing, and implementing drug protocols and regimen builds to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Maintaining adherence to state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay current with industry advancements.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Ph.D.) or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the State of Washington or ability to obtain prior to start date.
- Minimum of two years' experience in pharmacy practice OR completion of a PGY-1 pharmacy residency. At least one year oncology experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pharmacy Specialty Board Certification (BCOP or BCPS).
- PGY-2 in oncology.
- Experience with Epic EHR.
Compensation: $134,091 - $187,727 per annum.
