Pharmaceutical Oncology Specialist

Our organization is dedicated to providing exceptional cancer care services. We are seeking a skilled Oncology Pharmacist to join our team.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care to oncology patients, ensuring safe and effective drug therapy. Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating chemotherapy and infusion treatment plans for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Verifying medication orders by assessing diagnosis, dosing, drug interactions, allergies, labs, toxicity, and drug-specific monitoring parameters to ensure safe medication administration.
- Supervising pharmacy technicians in the preparation of hazardous and non-hazardous sterile products.
- Recommending therapy modifications to providers as clinically necessary to maximize therapeutic benefits and minimize toxicity.
- Participating in developing pharmacist-driven protocols.
- Serving as a drug information resource to other healthcare professionals.
- Product verification of medications dispensed through our specialty pharmacy.
- Assisting the research department with the review, evaluation, and roll out of new investigational drug trials.
- Analyzing drug shortages and inventory needs.
- Developing, reviewing, and assisting with implementation of drug protocols and regimen builds.
- Maintaining compliance with state and federal regulatory bodies.
- Responsible for professional development and continuing education.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Ph.D.) or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the State of Washington or ability to obtain prior to start date.
- Minimum of two years' experience in pharmacy practice OR completion of a PGY-1 pharmacy residency. At least one year oncology experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pharmacy Specialty Board Certification (BCOP or BCPS).
- PGY-2 in oncology.
- Experience with Epic EHR.
Compensation: $134,091 - $187,727 per annum.
