Vice President, Systems, Network and Storage

LinkedIn is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Systems, Network and Storage to lead the development and execution of our infrastructure strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning technology roadmaps with business objectives, ensuring systems, storage, and networks support company growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the infrastructure strategy, aligning technology roadmaps with business objectives.
- Oversee operations, managing the day-to-day operations of data center infrastructure, including system administration, network management, and data storage.
- Lead infrastructure engineering teams, building and developing high-performing teams responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining systems.
- Ensure system reliability and performance, monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to optimize system efficiency.
- Drive digital transformation, identifying opportunities to leverage technology to improve business processes, increase efficiency, and drive innovation.
- Maintain data security and compliance, implementing robust security measures to protect sensitive data, ensuring privacy and compliance with industry regulations and managing risk.
- Provide technical leadership, serving as a technical expert and mentor to the team, staying up-to-date on technology trends and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with business units, partnering with business leaders and other functions like Finance and Workplace to understand their technology needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience with leadership in Systems, Network and/or Storage, with at least 15 years of experience in progressively responsible roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience in leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing complex infrastructures.
- Deep technical expertise in systems, storage, and networking technologies, including hardware, software, and cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of operations, including system administration, network management, and data center management.
- Change management experience to lead organizational transformations and drive adoption of new technologies.
Travel
This role involves occasional global travel to engage with the global team and stakeholders.
LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $298,000 to $488,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
