About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Oncology Nurse to join our team at Providence Alaska Medical Center. As a Medical Oncology Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with cancer, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient responses.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop strategies to address these needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in medical oncology.

Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 1 year Nursing experience.
