Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Structures Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our structural design team, you'll be responsible for leading and conducting structural analyses, evaluations, and designs. You'll work closely with our multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise or conduct structural analyses, evaluations, and designs
  • Lead, assist with, or provide oversight for preparation of contract documents, including drawings, specifications, design documentation, and criteria
  • Lead design of various new and/or rehabilitation of hydraulic structures, including dams, spillways, gates, outlet works, diversion structures, retaining walls, cofferdams, floodwalls, water conveyance structures, and foundations
  • Perform engineering assignments that require critical thinking and creativity to address unique structural elements with limited or no specific code-based guidance
  • Coordinate structural design with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Work independently as project manager and provide oversight and mentorship of project and junior staff
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural design and analysis
  • Demonstrable experience with leading structural design projects, including analysis, reporting, drawing specification, production, and engineering during construction support
  • California PE or SE licensure
  • Strong interpersonal, speaking, and writing skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Structural emphasis preferred
  • Field experience related to construction, inspection, or related instrumentation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of structural, seismic, risk assessment, risk-informed decision-making involved in dam safety design, inspection, remediation, and construction
  • Strong background in finite element modeling and knowledge of seismic dynamic analysis procedures, including response spectrum and time history analyses

The expected compensation range for this position is $114,037 - $185,125 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.

This role is intended for Northern CA (Folsom/Sacramento) but will consider alternate locations.
