Job Title: Senior Applications Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Engineer to join our team at Potentia Search. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals that meet our clients' requirements and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain technical and commercial proposals that meet customer requirements and specifications.
  • Provide best application solutions to customers and manage the bidding process in collaboration with Regional Sales Managers.
  • Review project/application specifications, equipment requirements, equipment selections, cost estimates, and project schedules.
  • Recommend and assist Sales on technical application solutions based on specific customers' requirements and challenges.
  • Specify size and select engineered systems and/or equipment in accordance with customer-supplied specifications and/or performance requirements.
  • Review customer-supplied Terms and Conditions with the legal team to ensure compliance to company's contractual policies.
  • Generate detailed cost analysis for custom-engineered equipment and systems.
  • Generate equipment pricing from cost estimates, ensuring proper margins and commissions.
  • Maintain compliance with company-required monetary levels of approvals and signoffs.
  • Maintain and control latest equipment price lists and validity, including vendors' price lists.
  • Define and support regulatory issues with sales or service projects.
  • Work with Sales, Engineering, and Operations in the review of project plans and specifications.
  • Prepare handover material/documents of awarded projects to Project Management, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Attend technical meetings with customers during the tendering process.
  • Understand and adhere to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions.

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate technically and commercially with management, sales, legal, vendors, client's engineers.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiar with SalesForce.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.

Education and Experience:

BS degree in Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

EIT or PE a plus.
