Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Frontend Developer to join our team at Engineer Up. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality user interface components using React.

Your primary focus will be on developing reusable components and front-end libraries for future use, while ensuring that the overall application is robust and easy to maintain. You will work closely with our team to coordinate on different layers of the infrastructure, requiring a commitment to collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and quality product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing new user-facing features using React
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
  • Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
  • Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • 3+ years of ReactJS development experience
  • Thorough understanding of JavaScript and its core principles
  • Experience implementing REST APIs is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of TypeScript and the role type systems play in JavaScript
  • Expert-level proficiency in Git source control, including best practices for a team using pull requests
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with asynchronous programming, including Promises, async/await, and ES7 generators
  • Experience with state management using Redux
  • Familiarity with command-line tools, including Bash/ZSH (Linux or Mac)
