Donor Organ Procurement Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Donor Organ Procurement Specialist to join our team at Duke Health. As a key member of our Transplant Center, you'll play a vital role in procuring and managing donor organs for transplantation, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and supporting our mission to advance health.

Our Transplant Center is renowned for its expertise in kidney, liver, heart, lung, pancreas, and small intestine transplantation.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure and manage donor organs for transplantation;
- Coordinate with donors, families, and healthcare providers to facilitate smooth procurement and transportation;
- Develop and maintain relationships with local hospitals and healthcare organizations;
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices;
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize transplant services;
- Analyze data to inform decision-making and drive process improvements;
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing preferred;
- Five years of nursing experience with at least two years in transplant, critical care, or disease-specific areas;
- Current compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina required;
- BLS certification required;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 per year
