Role Overview:

We are directly assisting the Chief Technology Development Officer in the search for a Robotics Engineer who will be instrumental in the advancement and maintenance of innovative robotics systems designed for processing smart devices. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Engineering and Product teams to develop and refine state-of-the-art integrated software and hardware solutions aimed at automating and improving productivity, stability, and throughput.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in robotics system design.
  • At least 3 years of experience in 3D design, preferably with SOLIDWORKS.
  • 3+ years of experience in PLC development.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in designing and deploying robotics systems within production settings.
  • Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 is essential.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with robotics systems for testing and evaluating mobile devices is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Command Line Interface (CLI) environments such as Linux, Unix, and/or Bash/Shell is required, with a preference for experience in memory management, concurrency/synchronization, memory allocation, file systems, networking, and storage subsystems.
  • Strong knowledge of Yaskawa GP7 robot systems programming and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
  • Experience with various sensors including LiDar, Radar, cameras, IMU, GPS, encoders, I/O, PLC, and solenoids.
  • Ability to program and set up industrial HMI dashboards.
  • Capability to read ladder logic, download Keyence KV-8000 PLC programs, and troubleshoot PLC functions.
  • Experience with control circuit devices such as photo-eyes, solenoids, limit switches, indicating lights, safety switches, and Keyence cameras and controllers.
  • Familiarity with quality management methodologies such as Six Sigma and TQM is a plus.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python is beneficial.
