Overview: The main responsibility of a Retail Sales Consultant is to showcase Conn's offerings and financing solutions through exceptional customer service. Retail Sales Consultants guide customers through every stage of the purchasing journey. They possess in-depth knowledge of our product lines, which include electronics, appliances, furniture, mattresses, and more, and are expected to creatively address each customer's needs while effectively managing objections.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide in-person assistance to customers throughout the purchasing process, including product selection, payment options, financing, and delivery arrangements.

+ Conduct daily outreach to both existing and prospective customers via phone.

+ Drive new sales opportunities across our diverse range of business services.

+ Foster a supportive and collaborative team environment.

+ Assist with merchandising and store setup, which may involve moving, assembling, cleaning, and maintaining showroom displays.

+ Deliver outstanding customer service in alignment with company standards.

+ Stay informed about current promotions and advertised products.

+ Collaborate with both internal and external partners to resolve customer inquiries.

+ Develop and maintain sales materials and product knowledge across various categories.

+ Build and sustain relationships with current and potential customers.

+ Achieve key performance metrics and sales targets established by the company on a monthly basis.

+ Ensure confidentiality and adhere to all credit policies, procedures, and regulations.

+ Maximize every sales opportunity by presenting all relevant services, products, and add-ons during customer interactions.

+ Execute all job functions with integrity and honesty.

+ Follow Conn's 5 Steps of the Sale for all transactions as per company guidelines.

+ Comply with reasonable requests from management to undertake additional duties not specified above.

Required Qualifications:

+ Proficient in reading, writing, and basic arithmetic.

+ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience in appliance, furniture, or electronics sales.

+ Background in customer service.

+ Previous experience in a retail setting.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

+ Outgoing and engaging personality, eager to interact with customers both face-to-face and over the phone.

+ Goal-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.

+ Friendly and helpful attitude towards customers and colleagues.

+ Ability to listen effectively, articulate product benefits, and instill confidence in customers.

+ Capable of multitasking and adjusting priorities as needed.

+ Maintain a professional appearance and promote a positive company image.

+ Strong follow-up and negotiation skills.

+ Ability to address objections and influence customer decisions.

+ Adaptable to current technology requirements.

+ Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

+ Open to coaching and feedback.

+ Willingness to learn sales techniques and utilize company systems.

+ Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays; regular attendance is essential.

Working Environment:

+ Work is conducted in a retail store atmosphere.

+ Physical demands include standing for extended periods, packing, lifting boxes for shipment, managing inventory, and utilizing technology and computers.

+ Efficiently handle and move merchandise, including lifting or relocating items weighing up to 40 pounds or more.
