Position Overview: The Patient Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering administrative support and customer service within a dynamic medical office environment. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including patient interaction, appointment scheduling, data management, and educational outreach to patients.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service
  • Preferred experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Bilingual candidates, particularly in Spanish, are highly desirable

Core Responsibilities:
(Additional duties may be assigned as needed)

  • Handle incoming calls from prospective patients across multiple locations
  • Schedule appointments based on office protocols and provider availability
  • Gather and confirm essential demographic and insurance details from new patients
  • Verify insurance coverage during the appointment scheduling process
  • Activate patient portals at the time of scheduling
  • Communicate critical information to new patients, including portal access, office details, and arrival instructions
  • Collaborate with various offices to ensure accurate information dissemination
  • Direct calls to appropriate departments for inquiries related to medical records, billing, or clinical matters
  • Act as a liaison between new patients and the medical staff
  • Generate reports to maintain accuracy in appointment bookings
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through thorough and efficient communication
  • Uphold and embody the core values of the organization in all interactions

The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and/or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
