Position Overview: The Patient Liaison Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering vital support and administrative functions within a dynamic medical office environment. This position encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, including patient interaction, appointment scheduling, data management, and patient education.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service
- Preferred experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Bilingual candidates, particularly in Spanish, are highly desirable
Core Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming calls from prospective patients across multiple locations
- Coordinate new patient appointments based on office scheduling protocols and provider availability
- Gather and verify essential demographic and insurance details from new patients
- Confirm insurance coverage at the time of appointment scheduling
- Facilitate the activation of patient portals during the scheduling process
- Provide new patients with critical information regarding office procedures, including portal usage and arrival instructions
- Collaborate with various offices to ensure accurate communication of office details
- Direct calls to appropriate departments for inquiries related to medical records, billing, or clinical matters
- Act as a bridge between new patients and office personnel/physicians
- Generate reports to maintain booking accuracy
- Deliver exceptional customer service through thorough and efficient interactions
- Embody and promote the core values of Foot and Ankle Specialists in all professional activities
