Responsibilities:
  • Assess instructional needs of students based on evaluation data and ELA K-12 Learning Standards.
  • Deliver direct and/or supplementary instruction to students.
  • Establish and maintain a supportive and collaborative relationship with all students.
  • Foster a classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with parents and guardians.
  • Evaluate students' academic performance using departmental standards and common assessments, utilizing data to monitor progress.
  • Track student progress and adjust curriculum and instruction to support academic success.
  • Employ various assessment methods and progress data to guide instruction and inform students of their growth.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance and academic records in accordance with district policies.
  • Manage student behavior effectively to maximize engagement in learning activities.
  • Apply knowledge of PBIS best practices to meet diverse student needs.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues, administration, parents, and support staff to facilitate student progress.
  • Contribute as a collaborative team member within the school community.
  • Engage in curriculum development and seek innovative instructional strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic goals and progress.
  • Coordinate classroom activities with Special Education staff to meet curriculum and IEP objectives.
