- Collaborates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
- Ensures the safety of employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.
- Establishes barriers, warning signs, flags, and markers to protect employees and the public.
- Responsible for the quality and quantity of work produced while adhering to safety practices and regulations during tree and brush clearance.
- Operates and maintains equipment, including gasoline and hydraulic tools, power saws, winches, buckets, chippers, and sprayers.
- Operates a bucket truck near energized lines to remove branches and tree debris.
- Conducts tree and bucket rescue operations.
- Utilizes hand tools such as axes, hand-lines, saws, and pruners.
- Cleans up and disposes of all debris responsibly.
- Applies herbicides to brush and stumps, ensuring proper and selective application.
- Trains new team members.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be knowledgeable about electrical hazards.
- Must possess the ability to identify various tree and shrub species.
- Physical demands include energy, twisting, lifting ability, and hand-eye coordination.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 1 year of relevant industry experience required.
- Candidates may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and/or MVR check upon offer.
- Valid Driver's License required.

Due to the inherently hazardous nature of this industry and the requirement to work with or around dangerous equipment, employees must possess adequate eyesight to judge distances and coordinate equipment and tools. They must maintain focus and concentration for extended periods, endure exposure to various weather conditions while completing tasks, wear personal protective equipment as needed, and be capable of entering and exiting a vehicle multiple times daily. Employees should also have the stamina to navigate diverse terrains and perform job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour shift, communicate effectively, and comprehend written and verbal instructions.

- Employees work near energized components or equipment.
- Work may occur in traffic.
- Employees may be exposed to high noise levels from machinery and equipment, necessitating proper hearing protection.
