POSITION SUMMARY:

The Engineering Intern will engage in professional engineering tasks to support chemical plant operations and future design initiatives. Responsibilities include assisting with calculations, process documentation, statics and dynamics analysis, and data logging. While foundational training will be provided, a basic understanding of physics, thermodynamics, and dynamics is advantageous. The role involves approximately 60% office work and 40% on-site plant activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintain detailed and organized records.
  • Log and analyze process data.
  • Evaluate product and equipment characteristics.
  • Support statics calculations.
  • Assist in modifications to machine models.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of existing plant operations.
  • Address any plant-related issues, regardless of size.
  • Comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations.
  • Possess the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
  • Follow the guidelines, policies, and procedures outlined in the company handbook.
  • Adhere to the company's Drug and Alcohol policy and consent to random drug testing as a condition of employment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED completion.
  • Currently enrolled in an engineering or related field of study.
  • Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Dependability, trustworthiness, and integrity in the workplace.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Identify problems promptly and collaborate with a team to develop solutions.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in basic computer operations, capable of navigating web browsers and following online instructions. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is essential.
