Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Accounting Manager to oversee the daily financial operations at Transit Technologies, a leading software firm. This role is crucial for managing various accounting functions, including financial reporting, tax compliance, treasury management, billing, and accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and compiling monthly financial statements for the organization.
  • Managing the month-end closing process and other essential accounting tasks.
  • Overseeing customer contract entries in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Handling daily cash management and banking activities while supporting cash forecasting.
  • Acting as the administrator for banking and credit card transactions.
  • Ensuring a solid understanding of US GAAP with relevant experience.
  • Supervising the expense reporting and control processes.
  • Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting processes by collaborating with business leaders and the FP&A team.
  • Coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation during financial reviews.
  • Communicating financial performance insights to all management levels.
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Performing ad hoc accounting tasks as needed.
  • Having exposure to revenue recognition practices is advantageous.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting; CPA certification is preferred.
  • A strong, independent personality with exceptional planning, budgeting, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to foster collaborative relationships across the organization.
  • The capability to complete accounting tasks within established deadlines.
  • A proactive approach and a desire to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong research skills to understand and explain complex transactions and their business implications.
  • A high level of integrity to manage confidential information responsibly.
