Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse II to join our Orthopedic Department at Spartanburg Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to determine patient priorities and treatments.
  • Initiate and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Seek necessary assistance in completing nursing interventions to ensure positive patient outcomes.
  • Participate in hourly rounding and bedside shift report.
  • Responsible for demonstrating competency for all new equipment and procedures.
  • Provide clinical guidance to students and ancillary staff.
  • Successfully complete hospital and unit-based orientation programs.
  • Formulate a plan for professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all clinical expectations regarding regulatory requirements.
  • Identify appropriate standards of care and/or collaborative clinical pathways to guide the plan of care.
  • Comply with established policies and procedures.
  • Identify the need to develop or revise policies and procedures pertaining to specialized patient populations and/or unit and hospital-based practices.
  • Serve on unit-based committees.
  • Prioritize nursing interventions for an assigned group of patients.
  • Assess assigned patients' medical history, admitting diagnosis, and physician's orders, obtaining nursing history, performing physical assessment, evaluating diagnostic data, and interviewing patient and family to determine patient needs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of professional nursing practice and theory.
  • Assure continuity of care through effective decision-making resulting in quality patient care.
  • Document all aspects of patient care by following established charting procedures to show the patient's progress or any change in the patient's condition.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of one year of recent R.N. experience within the past 5 years preferred.
  • Current R.N. licensure in the state of South Carolina.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC.
