Key Responsibilities:

  • Decide on sample collection and handling procedures
  • Maintain daily instrument calibration and quality control
  • Conduct sample testing and data collection
  • Interpret and report laboratory results
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and data reporting
  • Stay up-to-date on critical values and laboratory standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams for consultative interactions and patient education
  • Perform moderate lifting and withstand physical demands of the job
  • Work irregular hours and maintain confidentiality of work-related information

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Laboratory Science
  • 1-3 years of experience in a hospital laboratory
  • ASCP certification
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Pass a color vision test
