RN Pre-Admission Testing Clinic Specialist

Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in the Pre-Admission Testing Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients preparing for procedures and surgery.
Job Summary:The RN Pre-Admission Testing Clinic is responsible for providing pre-procedure screening, preparing patients, families, and significant others for their experience throughout the Perianesthesia Continuum. This includes working with patients utilizing the Specialty Level I Trauma Operating Rooms, Outpatient Operating Rooms, and Anesthesia Remote sites.
Responsibilities:- Provides pre-procedure screening and prepares patients, families, and significant others for their experience throughout the Perianesthesia Continuum.
- Works with patients utilizing the Specialty Level I Trauma Operating Rooms, Outpatient Operating Rooms, and Anesthesia Remote sites.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure a smooth transition for patients preparing for procedures and surgery.
- Provides education and support to patients, families, and significant others to ensure a positive experience.
- Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required, plus ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Minimum 1-year RN experience required, including pediatric experience, PACU, Pre-Op, and/or the Operating room or other surgical experience is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor of Nursing Degree, Diploma in Nursing: Nursing (Required).
