Medical Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at Rehabilitation Associates. In this role, you will be responsible for managing acute medical issues for short-term rehabilitation patients and chronic conditions for the long-term care population.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient examinations, obtain medical histories, and assess health status.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests; prescribe medications and manage treatment plans.
- Consult with physicians on complex cases and coordinate specialty referrals.
- Provide guidance on preventive healthcare and manage patient education to enhance understanding of treatment plans.
- Triage patient calls, evaluate concerns, and ensure timely medical responses.
- Maintain comprehensive medical records and develop status reports to track patient progress.
- Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment modifications.
This role involves working in short-term rehabilitation facilities, long-term care facilities, and sub-acute care facilities. A minimum of two years of experience as a PA/NP is required, preferably in an acute, sub-acute, or rehabilitation setting.
Compensation and BenefitsThe salary for this role is estimated to be between $67,500 and $85,000 per year, providing a competitive compensation package for experienced professionals.
