Job Description

Job Title: Network Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our Engineering Business Support team at a Fortune 100 telecom client. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Design and Deployment: Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, etc.) to ensure network availability, stability, and security.
  • Network Configuration and Maintenance: Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS) and perform network maintenance and system upgrades.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability, and monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
  • Security and Compliance: Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team, and work within established configuration and change management policies.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution, and document network topology, infrastructure, and operational procedures.
  • On-Call Support: Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24x7 support when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Professional Experience: 4-7 years of professional experience in a similar network engineer role.
  • LTE Experience: 1+ years experience working on LTE (4G or 5G) related projects.
  • Networking Protocols: Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, SNMP).
  • Tools and Technologies: Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools, and strong troubleshooting skills with tools such as NetScout, Wireshark, RAN tools, CDR tools, and provisioning tools.
  • Industry Certifications: Industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, etc.) are a plus.
