We are seeking a knowledgeable Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our IT & Infrastructure team. Reporting directly to the VP of IT & Infrastructure, you will be responsible for the administration and upkeep of both our production and non-production infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities of a Systems Engineer:

  • Oversee and maintain our on-premises production and non-production IT infrastructure.
  • Manage and support both production and non-production Cloud infrastructure.
  • Address monitoring alerts, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Participate in on-call duties and after-hours maintenance as required.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to our networks and computing systems.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to resolve issues related to our code operating on our infrastructure.
  • Work with Security to ensure our infrastructure adheres to security, risk, and compliance standards.
  • Research, recommend, and provision new equipment to fulfill business requirements.
  • Enhance productivity through automation in managing our infrastructure.
  • Identify monitoring needs and establish new or improved checks and notification systems.
  • Implement new IT technologies and tools to meet organizational demands.
  • Manage identity and access control.
  • Supervise infrastructure utilization and capacity planning initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Possesses knowledge of Linux, networking, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Has acquired knowledge through over 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Brings experience from the tech or SaaS sector, particularly in production environments within a rapidly expanding organization.
  • Demonstrates professional expertise in virtualization (preferably VMware), IP networking, Ethernet, and firewall management.
  • Has worked in an organization subject to regulatory or compliance oversight.
  • Is familiar with cloud technologies; experience with AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform is a plus.
  • Exhibits a proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Is conscientious and takes pride in their job responsibilities.
  • Is open to occasional travel and possesses a valid passport without travel restrictions.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, agile environment that fosters collaboration and communication.
  • Enjoys engaging in projects and initiatives that promote continuous learning and the opportunity to express ideas and develop leadership skills.
