This position necessitates a combination of technical acumen and project management capabilities to drive significant results.

Essential Skills:
RedHat Linux Administration

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage environments for the Red Hat OpenShift container platform.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to construct and deploy cloud-native applications utilizing OpenShift.
  • Partner with architects to devise scalable and resilient application architectures on OpenShift.
  • Automate the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
  • Monitor and enhance the performance of OpenShift clusters and applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to the OpenShift platform and its applications.
  • Enforce security best practices for OpenShift environments, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards.
  • Offer guidance and support to development teams regarding best practices for application deployment on OpenShift.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to containerization and orchestration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, deploying, and managing the Red Hat OpenShift container platform in production settings.
  • Strong comprehension of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration (OpenShift).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the capacity to work effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or a similar certification.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of Linux system administration and shell scripting.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
