Job Role:
We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist responsible for evaluating parts and weldments to meet customer specifications. This role will utilize inspection tools, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and Portable CMMs (PCMM) to ensure product quality. You will also engage in data management and analysis to drive continuous improvement in our final products.

Available Shifts:
1st shift, Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of parts using hand tools, CMM, PCMM, and Romer arm.
  • Perform inspections on individual components, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and fixtures with the assistance of software.
  • Interpret detailed drawings and interact with CAD models effectively.
  • Manage data to ensure traceability of materials and components.
  • Analyze inspection reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Required:
    High School Diploma or GED
    Vocational training in STEM or Technical Trades
    Minimum of 1 year experience in blueprint reading.
  • Preferred:
    Associate's degree or equivalent in design.
    1-2 years of experience in SolidWorks.
    At least 1 year of experience operating a Romer arm.
    Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
    Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
    Experience with database management.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position require the employee to frequently sit, talk, and hear. The role necessitates the constant use of hands and fingers to handle tools and controls, as well as reaching with arms. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and walking may be required. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to manufacturing processes that include fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
