Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare charts for patient visits, including updating and entering patient information in our practice management system.
  • Greet patients, check and enter arrival times, and notify clinical staff when patients arrive.
  • Provide efficient office support, teamwork, and outstanding customer service to patients and staff.
  • Understand and explain Center policies regarding late arrival and no-shows.
  • Direct patients on scheduling appointments and assist with forms, including Medical Record Release forms.
  • Take messages for prescription refills and paperwork requests.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.
  • Two to three years of experience in a healthcare facility preferred.
  • Current CPR certification or ability to receive certification within 90 days of hire required.
  • Basic knowledge of third-party payers, ICD-10, and CPT coding, and medical terminology preferred.
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills using MS Office required; previous experience in EMR preferred.
  • Strong oral communication and telephone skills, and excellent customer service skills required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish helpful.
