GENERAL OVERVIEW:


Assesses and treats individuals with injuries or conditions that lead to a decline in physical or functional capabilities; oversees the work conducted by support staff; communicates effectively and collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team members.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


Conducts initial and ongoing evaluations of the patient's status and formulates goals and care plans that are tailored to the identified issues, involving the patient and family based on their abilities and preferences.


Implements therapeutic interventions using standard and potentially specialized physical therapy methods and techniques appropriate for the patient's age and condition.

Ensures documentation meets departmental, hospital, and regulatory requirements.

Engages in departmental initiatives aimed at operational enhancement, including participation in committees and educational programs.

Performs additional duties as assigned or necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum

Bachelor's Degree

State licensure as a Physical Therapist or eligibility for licensure.

CPR certification from the American Heart Association

Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate

Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Preferred

Master's Degree.

Current state driver's license.
