The Staff Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patient records, conducting initial evaluations, formulating treatment strategies, administering physical therapy interventions and modalities, tracking progress, and documenting treatments delivered to patients. This includes discharge planning and patient education aimed at enhancing overall functionality, alleviating discomfort, improving or maintaining flexibility and strength, and achieving various medical and therapeutic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate patient progress to referring physicians and the healthcare team.
  • Act as a clinical mentor for physical therapy students and specialists.
  • Maintain professional licensure through ongoing education and professional development.
  • Conduct assessments, provide treatments, and oversee assistants for a variety of patient demographics.
  • Design and modify personalized care plans based on physician referrals and patient feedback.
  • Rotate through different treatment areas to fulfill organizational requirements.
  • Engage actively in staff meetings and educational workshops.
  • Document all services rendered, including evaluations and discharge summaries.
  • Complete billing and statistical reports to ensure accurate service delivery.
  • Organize patient appointments efficiently to meet productivity benchmarks while ensuring high-quality care.
  • Graduate from an accredited program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
  • Exhibit the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver exceptional customer service.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

An active license in the practicing state is mandatory. CPR certification is required based on AHA standards, which include both theoretical and practical components.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Physical Therapist (PT)
