Desktop Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Worldgate LLC. As a key member of our technical support team, you will provide essential on-site computer support for our educational clients. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the repairs of all hardware devices, creating touchpoint communication streams for management, and providing Chromebook training and on-going assistance to support staff and end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform hardware repair support for Laptop Chromebook devices and submit all repair updates through the client's tracking system.
• Create touchpoint communication streams for management, detailing operation repair per device and escalating as needed.
• Provide Chromebook training and on-going assistance to support staff and end-users.
• Stay abreast of software updates, incorporating best practices and providing the highest standard of care to support center staff.
• Comprehension and alignment to established goals and objectives within the framework of the Worldgate Continuous Feedback Approach.
• Stay up to date on basic computer skills and best practices, such as word processing software, spreadsheet software, presentation software, Adobe software, email management, digital calendars, and video conferencing.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma
• 1+ Years of IT support experience and/or customer service experience
• Strong IT troubleshooting skills and critical thinking skills
• Punctual, trustworthy, and dependable
• Strong communication and customer services skills
• Ability to communicate in a positive, patient, and professional manner
• Proficiency in basic computer skills - word processing software, spreadsheet software, presentation software, Adobe software, email management, digital calendars, and video conferencing
• Ensure compliance with criminal background check standards by maintaining a clear record throughout employment tenure
